The Cardinals have made it to 7 NLCS's since 2000 - going 3 - 4 in them. The Cards won the World Series in 2006 and 2011, while losing in 2004. With a plehora of awesome talent in their system, coupled with star Veterans, all playing the St. Louis way, they could be poised for another playoff run in 2013 - and for years beyond.

The Cardinals have made it to 7 NLCS’s since 2000 – going 3 – 4 in them. The Cards won the World Series in 2006 and 2011, while losing in 2004. With a plethora of awesome talent in their system, coupled with star Veterans, all playing the St. Louis way, they could be poised for another playoff run in 2013 – and for years beyond.  The club is just on the fringe of the MLB’s top ten for team salaries, however they do hold the most expensive club in the NL Central.  The franchise rarely doles out a bad long – term contract.

By Chuck Booth (Lead Baseball Analyst/Website Owner): and welcome Jeff Kleiner (Salary, Roster and Depth Chart Expert for the MLB) – visit his website  here

You guys are all in for a treat.  Jeff Kleiner recently contacted me about a partnership merge for the website.

He has developed a site (prosportsrosters.com) that covers all organizational affiliates in the Minors for all of the Major League Baseball Clubs.

We are going to combine efforts to bring you the best look at salaries, current 25 Man Player Rosters and Depth Charts for all 30 teams.

Jeff is going to provide the documents in form of spreadsheets and I am going to accompany the posts with deep analysis of what the numbers tell us from my perspective.

If you can’t wait for all of my assessments for each club, go and visit Jeff’s website over at http://www.prosportsrosters.com.

In Speaking with Jeff, he is one of the more passionate fans I have come across towards the game of baseball.  He spends enough time in updating his MLB Facts for it to be a Full-Time Job.

So after the usual Video Clip and READ THE REST OF THIS ENTRY button, you will find some serious &*!@?!#!

Jeff updates this page below on a daily basis.  After you click on it….Bookmark it.  There is a 3 year salary forecast and stats not listed here on this page.

Jeff updates these pages daily and these changes include any Roster moves!

St. Louis Cardinals 2011 World Series Run – Mature Lyrics So Parental Guidance Is Advised

The Cards never budged from their financial offer to Pujols. By the team not having to have resigned the big 1B, they are completely flexible to sign Free Agents - to compliment their strong young core talent for years. The St. Louis franchise received the best years out of Pujols career.

The Cards never budged from their financial offer to Pujols. By the team not having to have resigned the big 1B, they are completely flexible to sign Free Agents – to compliment their strong young core talent for years. The St. Louis franchise received the best years out of Pujols career.  The 33 Year old from Kansas City MO, had a 3 Slash Line of .328/.420/1.037 for the RedBirds – with 445 HRs and 1329 RBI in his 11 Year Cardinals Career.  Pujols was in the top 5 (or won) in the NL MVP race every year from 2001 – 2011, except for 2007, when he finished 9th in Voting  After inking a 10 YR/$254 MIL deal with the Angels, he has Slashed .275/.338.823 – with 47 HRs and 169 RBI in 998 AB for LA.

The Cardinals have been the best run franchise in the Central Division, and have done this without blowing up their entire payroll.

They are hovering around the top 10 Salaries for teams in the Majors.

The club management looks like they avoided a massive disaster – by not signing Albert Pujols to a  7 – 10 year contract.

The organization still did sign Carlos Beltran (The Best Post Season Active Player) to replace his offense – added with a few others.

Other organizations are frothing over all of St. Louis’s Minor League System based on talent level.

Oscar Taveras, Trevor Rosenthal, Shelby Miller, Kolten Wong, Carlos Martinez and Michael Wacha all made the top 100 prospects list this season.

The team will be able to replace the veterans in future years with this influx of talent.  This will keep payroll down for at least the next 5 – 7 years.

The recent extension of Adam Wainwright was able to happen because of how many team controllable players.

Payroll In Signed $

2013 Budget $111,127,085
2014 Budget $82,325,000

Jeff Kleiner:  ”I have been a sports fan since the first Baseball game I went to at Comisky Park in Chicago in 1959, when baseball for me turned from black and white to color. I have attended or watched thousands of games, always paying attention to statistics, rosters and salaries of all professional sports.

Luckily I had the advantage of watching WGN TV and seeing hundreds of games in the 60′s. Collecting Baseball Cards and then later dealing them gave me an extra sense of the sport, both good and bad.” For all of your Salaries, Roster and Depth Charts for all 4 Major Sports (entire organization – Minors and Majors) click here or Follow Me on twitter
